UNFREE ART is a performance artwork sold at free.earth, on phones only. An artwork is for sale; money is not accepted. The price is 469.8 seconds of your freedom, measurably restricted: sixty planetary pulses of 7.83 seconds each, phone held on or resting on your body, in one sitting. The performance is the payment; the payment creates the work. The protocol remains free, the performance happens once, the trace is yours. The device is a volunteered ankle monitor calibrated to your own body: the corridor asks you to stay within your own measured tremor span, not to be perfectly still, so a tremor is not a fault. Too much motion interrupts the payment; a flat, rotationless signal is read as a table, and a table cannot pay; you get a warning, NO BODY SIGNAL, before the payment is declined. While you pay, the screen runs one large red band reading PAYMENT IN PROGRESS, with a small static line REMAIN STILL; the band jolts once per pulse, together with one dry tick, synchronised worldwide to the same planetary grid; under reduced motion the band stands still. On completion the band halts on PAID IN FULL, then: artwork created, sixty rings, the recorded tremor of each pulse, each ring with one gap. Your freedom is returned in full; your time is not. All sensor data stays on your device. A printable payment receipt states exactly what was and was not verified; edition unlimited, prints are timestamped in earthrise seconds. No accounts, no cookies, no tracking.
